Our Team

Inlet Medical Associates opened on the Waccamaw Neck in 1991 by Dr. William Epperson. The practice grew and moved to its current location in 1993.  Over the years, our team of doctors and nurse practitioners has expanded allowing us to provide some of the area’s best medical care.



William Jackson Epperson, MD, MBA
Dr. Epperson is board certified in family medicine. He received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). He completed his residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School and Ghent Family Practice. Dr. Epperson did his internship with Anderson Family Practice.
William Gammon, MD
Dr. Gammon is board certified in family medicine. He received his medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine and completed his residency and internship at Broadlawns Medical Center.
John Karl, MD
Dr. Karl is board certified in family medicine. He received his medical degree from Chung-Ang University College of Medicine in Seoul, Korea. Dr. Karl completed his residency at the Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens and his internship at Flushing Hospital.
Karen McCutcheon, MD
Dr. McCutcheon received her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) and completed her residency at McLeod Health.
Virginia "Ginger" Bell, FNP
Virginia Bell received her bachelor's degree in public health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Ginger earned her master's degree in nursing and family nurse practitioner degree from Vanderbilt University.
Kathryn Lake, RN, MSN, FNP-BC
Kathryn Lake received her bachelor’s in nursing from Mount St. Mary’s College in California and her master’s in nursing and family nurse practitioner degree from Clemson University.
Amanda Krutke, RN, MSN, ACNS-BC
Amanda Krutke received her bachelor’s in nursing from Saint Francis Medical Center College of Nursing and her master’s degree in nursing and adult clinical nurse specialist degree from Saint Francis Medical Center College of Nursing.
Amanda Belesky, RN, MSPA, PA-C
Amanda Belesky received her bachelor’s degree in biotechnology from the University of Kentucky and her master’s physician assistant degree from Mountain State University.
